Often referred to as “Sheds”, elk and deer shed their antlers each year and grow back a new set. You can look at it as nature’s gift to your pup, and in case you were wondering, no animals are harmed in the process of collecting the sheds.

Each treat or chew was picked up by myself, my dad, family, friends, and local ranch hands. They come from the hills of Northern Arizona, home to the Rocky Mountain Elk and Mule Deer.

Benefits

Pawncho’s are high quality antler chew that provides a number of benefits for dogs. The elk and deer antlers are a natural source of calcium that are long lasting, and also good for teeth cleaning. They are far less likely to splinter, as opposed to other bones and or raw hide.

Are they safe for my dog?

Although the chews are long lasting, they may begin to develop sharp edges over time and become unsafe. In addition, they may become small enough to swallow or pose a choking hazard. If either of these occur please discard the antler, or in other words… Throw it in the gutter, and go by another.
